COLUMBUS AND THE NEW WORLD
Thanks to him the Castilian language is spoken in Spanish America

Valladolid is related to the Discovery of America. Cristobal Columbus died in Valladolid (1506). He and “Isabel la Católica” treated about that matter for several times. Nowaday, there is a house in Valladolid called Columbus house museum erected as a new house on the plot of land on which the house inhabited by Columbus during the last years of his life had stood, and in which he died in 1506. Its five rooms contain objects and documents relating to the voyage of discovery. It is currently a centre for research into the history of America.
